National library - grab your free membership!

The new national library in Luxembourg, Kirchberg is now open. We did a visit today to find out more and how that can be beneficial to our community. Here is our quick summary:

First of all, the library is looking great. See photos.

Second, many a times, our community has been asking for a nice place to connect to the Internet and work. There has always been many suggestions but we were never convinced. Now we can comfortably say, with the library membership (free), you have amazing work spots, fast internet, quiet place with lots of people around. A cafe just right within the building. And, its all free, except for the cafe of course.

Third, grab your free membership. Fill a simple application form. Show the id and immediately get a membership card and internet access password. That's it. All can take less than 10 minutes depending on the crowd in the line. No, there is no possibility to take membership online since you need to show the id card.

Fourth, remember, tons of facilities. Big collection of books that you can borrow for up to 28 days and extensible. Free Internet and work place. Computers. Cafe. Info desk.
